"Detective Me" By Rachael Williamson

"Detective Me" By Rachael Williamson

As the night sky

You seem to be beautiful

Yet dark and mysterious

Lured, have I become

As your mystery

I seek to unravel.

If you can, speak to me.

If you can, touch me

For by any

May I find what I seek.

Should I love you

Before the probe spawns

Or should I be

The undercover detective

Without affection?

With ears on the ground

Your skeletons

I swear to unearth

As secrets of you

I begin to unravel

Stricken with longing

Have I become

For my ears,

Do you with words, tickle

At a look in your eyes

My knees, you paralyze

Yet,

A detective I still am

Regardless of your clout on me.
