"Anger" By Rachael Williamson

"Anger" By Rachael Williamson

With anger, I sleep.

In revenge, I thrust deep.

Without vengeance, anger is useless;

I say to myself.

Day and night, I stay restless.

For in the river of vengeance, I delve.

Calmness has fled from me,

For in my thoughts,

Attack and victory

Are what I desire at all cost.

With a smile, I forgive.

In peace, I believe.

“Without peace, life would be futile!”

I exclaim.

Anger is like a missile

So, at all times, I rejoice

For love I claim.

Anger leaves with no choice

For in my heart, as I still bear my name,

From me, anger must depart.
