Once did I love you
Moved to part with my sense of self
Living your vision and worshipping the very ground you trod
For my god on earth, you were
How was I such a fool?
Was I your piece as you were mine?
Was I your breath as you were mine
As my pulsating heart leapt for you?
Or was I out of my own mind
Living a lie in my fool’s paradise?
In the naivety of my past
Do I now tuck into bits,
my sweet innocence
I don’t drink, smoke or flirt around…
I do worse
I sniff and lick
Crack after crack until I crack
A beautiful slithering weapon have I become
For you created
One who thirsts for crack and blood
Finely crafted to find solace in oblivion
Now a home, have I been built
Called it rehab
To have you understand me
As you see and term me crazy
Soon would I leave this home
With hope renewed to find me
And grace revived to find us
For you are mine as I am yours
